If you live in a building with more than five floors and has no lift, you may want to find another place to live. Local government minister Musalia Mudavadi has directed councils to demolish all such buildings.
Mudavadi says the demolitions will start in Nairobi tomorrow when a team of City Hall officials, provincial administration, representatives of the architectural association and other stakeholders start auditing structures.
This follows the recent collapse of a building in Langata yesterday injuring 6 workers less than a week after 4 people lost their lives when a building collapsed in Embakasi.
