Moses Golola’s motor-mouth is certainly not about to abate. The East and Central Africa Kickboxing champion vividly knows that not everybody will be supporting him on July 1 when he engages Abdull Qadir Rahim at Hotel Africa.

But rather than feel insecure, Golola is instead urging all his detractors to buy their tickets for the fight early because he will not be in appeasing mood.

“I will not waste time on the day. I hear Sudanese guys are tough. But I will attack this guy from the start. I will be all over him like a wounded lion with strong punches and tough kicks. He will not have a chance,” Golola told Sunday Monitor in a stern tone.

“All those that think I will be beaten at home should come early and witness the might of Golola.”

Triple sessions

And to back up his words, Golola is now having triple intensive training sessions that comprise of road and gym work – to the delight of his coaches Patrick Lihanda and Abdul Nasser, who are happy with his work rate.

Lihanda is polishing Golola’s boxing skills whereas Nasser is taking him through the kicking sessions at Life Fitness Centre Gym at Centenary Park.

“He is responding to the training pretty well and I am confident that he is about to reach the peak of his powers. We shall tone down on the training sessions next week,” said Lihanda. Elsewhere Hared Petroleum joined the bandwagon of the fight sponsors with a Shs3m tonic.

The company’s general manager Hajj Noordin Yusuf reiterated their commitment to supporting sports. Daily Monitor, KFM, Pinnacle Security, Dmark Mobile and Hotel Africana are the other sponsors.
