He promised to work diligently to improve the situation of his people and constituents.
“With God by my side, I will work hard to secure micro-credit facility for our women and farmers, collaborate with local and international NGOs to provide vocational skills for school leavers to make them employable.
“I will unveil strategies through which those already in employment in the informal sector in particular could expand their businesses for the mutual benefit of society, “he said during a media encounter in Tamale.
Touching on education Mr Sayibu, said employable skills for the youth, improvement farming and community development would top his agenda for the Tamale North constituency.
He said he had interacted with various youth groups in his constituency and could confirm that, lots of talents abound in the area.
The NPP activist said right guidance and counseling were needed to turn the talents of the youth into money and jobs, stressing “Akilu Sayibu is the right person to do this”.
The Tamale North parliamentary candidate explained that, even though he was elected by delegates of the NPP to lead the party in the constituency for Election 2012, he needed the votes of all to become an MP.
Mr Akilu Sayibu appealed to every one in the Tamale North to join the “Akilu for Parliament Project” on facebook to get him elected on December 7 2012 as MP.
