Norwich City striker Steve Morison is confident that he and his team-mates have the quality to stay in the Premier League for more than just one season.

The East Anglian side, led by Paul Lambert, secured their second consecutive promotion with a second-place finish in the Championship.

Morison is one of a number of new recruits for Norwich and the striker believes that his team has the skill and quality to ensure they can have a long stay in the Premier League.

He told skysports.com: “Once you get into the top flight you want to stay in it because so much hard work is required to get to that stage.

“The Premier League is where this club belongs and I’m sure that the manager and the team will do everything they can to make us stay there.”

Morison says that his team-mates have taken heart from teams such as Wigan Athletic and West Bromwich Albion, who have managed to stay in the Premier League after being promoted from the Championship.

He added: “The performances of previously promoted clubs have given everyone hope and belief of staying in the top flight and that is a big thing for sides that get to this level.

“You need belief and heart to have any chance of making that happen and the likes of West Brom and Wigan have shown that clubs that go up don’t necessarily come back down.”
