Machemedze made headlines earlier this year when it was revealed that during his UK asylum appeal he admitted shocking acts of torture and brutality on suspected MDC members in Zimbabwe.

Ghana youth defender Daniel Addo is hoping to win a permanent place with Ukrainian champions Shaktar Donestk after a loan spell at FC Zorya.

Addo, 21, was signed by Shaktar but was farmed him out to Zorya last season for more game time.

The former King Faisal centre-back wants a return to the Donbass Arena and strutt his stuff.

“They loaned me out to Zorya when they signed me considering that I’m a youngster and also from Africa,” Addo said.

“They were a bit unsure of what I can do. But I think I proved myself with Zorya. Now the decision rests with them. I hope I remain at the club.”

Addo, a 2009 Fifa Under-20 World Cup winning team, is currently in camp with the Black Meteors.
