A woman who stabbed her boyfriend to death in Kibera, Nairobi, has been arrested. The woman was arrested on Tuesday after she allegedly stabbed Geoffrey Otieno Asidi on the right thigh following a domestic quarrel. The incident occurred at the house of Asidi within Gatwekera slums on Tuesday.

Eyewitnesses and the police said Asidi bled heavily and died as he was being taken to Kenyatta National Hospita by neighbours. In Gaitumbi Village, Kinoo, a suspected robber was shot dead yesterday when a gang of five he was in was cornered trying to break into a private home.

His four accomplices were arrested and household goods believed to have been stolen from other houses recovered. And in Ongata Rongai, police are looking for a man who allegedly killed his employer and dumped the body in a septic tank. City police boss Antony Kibuchi said the body of the woman aged 35 was discovered a day later. The two had reportedly differed over pay.

In Shauri Moyo, Nairobi, several juakali kiosks were burnt in a fire incident on Tuesday night. Property worth millions of shillings was lost in the inferno. Police investigations say the fire was caused by a burning iron box. Fire fighters from Nairobi City Council managed to control the fire. No injuries were reported.
