16 June 2011 Huambo — The secretary of State for Water, Luís Filipe da Silva, on Wednesday in Bailundo Municipality, central Huambo Province, recommended the local government to be committed to the execution of the "Water for All" programme, so that it can reach all communities. Luís Filipe da Silva, who was speaking at the end of an assessment visit to the Rural Development Integrated Municipal Programmes of Fight against Poverty (PMIDRCP), highlighted that it is necessary that the local government speeds up the implementation of the water for all programme

Luanda — The vice-president of the ruling MPLA party, Roberto Victor de Almeida is paying on Thursday a three-day working visit to the southern Cunene province, to learn about the functioning of different structures of this party and run a political rally.

In Ondjiva district, Roberto de Almeida was received by the provincial first secretary of MPLA, AntÃ’nio Didalelwa, co-ordinator of party’s politburo follow-up group in Cunene province, Paula Inês Ndala, as well as officials of the local government, OMA and JMPLA.

The vice president of MPLA is being accompanied by members of the party’s Politburo such as the secretaries for information and propaganda and economic and social matters Rui Falcão and Manuel Nunes Júnior, respectively.

Speaking about his visit, Roberto de Almeida said that Cunene is considered as a heroic province and an advanced scenario of the ruling party in Angola.

In the framework of his visit, Roberto de Almeida will meet the members of OMA, JMPLA, chieftains and civil society in order to be informed about current situation of the southern region of the country.
