The tickets for the high profile FIFA international friendly between Argentina and Nigeria will be available from June 20 for the corporate houses while the general tickets for public will be on sale from July 15.

Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) at a press briefing held at the BFF House on Wednesday disclosed detailed information regarding the total number of tickets, distributions and ticket prices.

Kazi Salahuddin, the BFF president, was much delighted, “This is a great day for Bangladesh football. We are all set to welcome Argentina and Nigeria in Dhaka and are delighted to declare the ticket prices. We want to make it clear that the mass interest regarding the match was very much on our mind but we have some limitations as the seats are limited,” said Salahuddin.

The total number of tickets of the gallery is estimated at 21,900. The corporate houses will have to put their demands of at least 100 tickets and 70% of the Western Gallery tickets are reserved for them.

Salahuddin introduced Beximco as the official partner of the event. “Beximco is our official partner. They will bear all the costs of the event and if there are any losses they will bear it as well. But if we reap any benefit it will go to the BFF Youth Development fund. I am really thankful to them,” said the BFF president.

The BFF chief added that the worldwide and local TV rights are yet to be finalized and the process is going on. However Independent TV, a concern of Beximco is likely to launch their broadcast with the match.

Beximco has taken the responsibility to finalise the deal. Salahuddin also said the other events like a charity and the official dinner concerning Argentina is under consideration. There will be one open practice session of both the teams but the price of the tickets for the practice sessions is yet to be decided.

“We have set our eyes on Mirpur, Army and Fatullah stadium. When we will be able to confirm the venue then we can fix the prices of the tickets of the practice sessions,” said Salahuddin.

BFF also declared that the national award winning footballers, members of Swadhin Bangla Football Team, sports federations and the DFA’s will be entitled to buy the VIP upper level tickets for Tk 15000 and the lower level tickets for Tk 5000.
