Manager of Dolphins Football Club Stanley Eguma says he is still not comfortable with the level of officiating in last Thursday’s league match in Warri against Warri Wolves.

Dolphins lost the game 4-1 but Eguma insists the first two goals against him should not have counted.

“Before Warri Wolves scored the firsts goal our defender was fouled but the referee ignored it,” Eguma said.

Eguma added that there was also an infringement before the second goal for Warri Wolves.

“The player who scored the goal played thirty seconds of the match without his boots on. His boot went off his foot and he continued on the run for a long time before he scored and I want to ask if the rules have changed on a player scoring without his boots on,” Eguma said.

“We know the result of the match will not change but we urge the NPL and the referees committee to look into cases like these so our league can indeed improve.”
