POLICE have arrested a man who allegedly sodomised more than 10 boys at Ohongo village near Omungwelume in the Ohangwena Region.
The boys are all under the age of 10, according to the Ohangwena Serious Crime Coordinator, Deputy Commissioner Abner Agas.
Agas said the man was arrested yesterday morning by the Omungwelume Police after some parents reported the matter to the Police. He had not appeared in court yet and therefore, his name cannot be published. Agas said the incidents started last year and continued this year.
He said some parents might have known about the alleged sodomy, but apparently hesitated to report it to the Police. A parent reported the matter this week and others followed suit. The Police questioned some of the boys involved and that led to the arrest of the suspect.
Ten of the boys were taken to the Oshakati State Hospital yesterday for health checkups.
