Calabar — Chairman of Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) in Cross River State, Cletus Obun, has said that the bombing of the headquarters of the Nigerian Police in Abuja, should be put at the door steps of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which he accused of bringing terrorism to the country.

Obun who spoke to Daily Independent in Calabar on Thursday, said the bombing has shown clearly that the PDP-led Federal Government cannot provide security for Nigeria.

According to the ACN chairman, the issue of bombing and terrorism which, he noted, started from the Niger Delta region, has been exported to the North, stressing that what happened in Abuja was an export of agitation to the Northern part of the country.

Obun said his fear was that the spate of terrorism in Nigeria could continue since government decided to reward terrorists by granting them amnesty.

He argued that acts of violence against the country are a call for a Sovereign National Conference (SNC) to chat the way forward for the country.

The ACN chairman pointed out that the bombing and escalation of activities of Boko Haram have vindicated the Libyan leader, Muamar Gaddaffi, who some months said that if Nigerians feel aggrieved to remain as one country, they should split into smaller units where they could reside in peace.

Obun said the PDP government must address the injustice being meted to the Nigerian people, especially the all-conquering mentality of the ruling party, which he accused of not working towards addressing the pains it had been inflicting on the ordinary Nigerians on daily basis.
