The dust has barely settled on the old season – and now teams and fans can start preparing for the the 2011-12 campaign following the announcement of the Premier League fixtures for the forthcoming year.
On opening day, Arsenal return to the scene of one of their worst moments last season, St James’ Park, where Newcastle fought back from 4-0 down to claim an unlikely draw.
Champions Manchester United travel to West Brom, while newly promoted Swansea City head to Eastlands to face Manchester City.
Liverpool begin with a home match against Sunderland, where all eyes will be on new £20m signing Jordan Henderson against his old club, while Chelsea play Stoke at the Britannia Stadium and Tottenham host Everton.
