Angola: CFB train returns to Huambo

Huambo — The train of the Benguela Railway (CFB), finally is due to resume operation in Huambo province within 60 days after 27 years of halt, it was announced Thursday, here, by the Transport minister, Augusto da Silva Tomás.

The Government official announced that at the end of his journey by train coming from the province of Benguela, where he was overseeing the implementation status of the works along the railway line.

The minister said that the country is undergoing a reconstruction, reconciliation and peace process, because everything that was once a dream is beginning to be transformed into reality.

The arrival of the experimental train in the station in the city of Huambo was witnessed by thousands of citizens, members of the local representatives of political parties and religious entities.
