Freetown — Sierra Leone and AC Milan midfielder, Rodney Strasser remains adamant on a loan move away from the Italian champions, AC Milan and rather preferred to stay and fight for his place in the squad.

According to a close pal of the Rossoneri midfielder, the player is reluctant to move to Turkey as several Turkish clubs have expressed their interest in securing him on loan.

“I can confirm to you that several clubs in Turkey want to have him on loan from Milan but he is still hoping to stay with the Italian giant rather than moving away from the Italian city,” Strasser’s close pal who prefers anonymity said.

The 21-year old player, who last season struggled for playing time with the Italian champions, believes he can stay on at the club and fight for a regular place in the upcoming season.

Strasser featured in just three matches for the Rossoneri last season and scored an important goal which gave his side victory over Cagliari. He believes he can have more playing time this season.

Strasser, who is currently in town on holiday, has become a regular player for the Sierra Leone national team, Leone Stars. He played the full time in Sierra Leone’s 1-0 win over Niger in a 2012 African Cup of Nations qualifier in Freetown last month.
