Cesc Fabregas tipped to join Barcelona by online bookmaker Unibet

Cesc Fabregas has been narrowly tipped by Unibet to swap the Emirates for long-time suitors Barcelona by the time the transfer window shuts.

The online bookmaker, which is pricing the potential transfers of many superstars in their odds, has forecast that Fabregas is 1.65 to join his boyhood club after a protracted saga. Arsenal’s captain is 1.90 to stay in London for at least one more season.

Last summer was dominated by transfer speculation linking the midfielder with a move back to his native Spain. Fabregas has not dampened the talk by telling Television Espanola: “I will not be saying every day I want to play at Barcelona.  It has been my dream since I was 11 years old to play there.”

However, in a separate interview recorded in English the 24-year-old said: “Last year was a difficult summer for me. I don’t want this to be repeated but that’s all I can say really. I’m an Arsenal player.”

A sensational switch to Real Madrid to link up with his long-time admirer Jose Mourinho is trading @ 20.0 with Unibet.

Other clubs priced up with Unibet to capture Fabregas are big spending Manchester City (25.0), London rivals Chelsea (40.0) and former European champions Inter an even longer shot @ 50.0.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has made it clear that his star player will not be leaving the Gunners as he faces a battle on his hands to keep Samir Nasri at the club.

Fabregas added: “I don’t know what will happen in the future with some players. You have to ask the boss what are his intentions for the future.”
