The Royal Nikoi Olai Stool of the Asere Division of the Ga State on Wednesday said crowning a Ga Mantse with Adowa Fai was the sole prerogative of the Asere Stool.
A statement issued by the Royal Nikoi Olai Stool Family and the Asere Mantse Nii Nikoi Olai Amashie III in Accra said the enstoolment of a Ga Mantse was and could only be complete with the Adowa Fai by the substantive Asere Mantse or his representative.
“The purported crowning of the new Ga Mantse with the Adowa Fai was not done by the substantive Asere Mantse, Nii Nikoi Olai Amashie III, or by any accredited representative of the Asere Stool.”
“Nii Amarkai III who describes himself as the Asere Djaasetse and Acting Asere Mantse is not the Asere Mantse neither does he hails from the Nikoi Olai Stool.”
“The said Nii Amarkai III is the Djaasetse of only the Akotia Owosika Stool one of the ruling houses of the Asere Division.”
