Okorocha congratulates Ihedioha

Food and Agriculture Minister Kwesi Ahwoi, has apologized to fishermen who were allegedly brutalized by some police officers during a demonstration close to the Castle on Tuesday June 14. The Minister made the apology in Parliament on Wednesday June 15, when he appeared on the floor to answer questions including what the Ministry was doing to curtail bad fishing practices. In answering the question, he made reference to the Tuesday clash, said he was unhappy about what had happened and apologized accordingly.

OWERRI – Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has congratulated Emeka Ihedioha on his election as Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives.

The governor, in the congratulatory letter, said: “I, Owelle Rochas Anayo Okorocha, the governor of Imo State, on behalf of my family and all Imolites, heartily congratulate our son, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha (KSC) on his election as the Deputy Speaker, Federal House of Representatives of Federal Republic of Nigeria.”

He described Ihedioha’s election as a blessing to Imo State and urged him to always make good use of his office to contribute positively to the Imo rescue project of his (Okorocha’s) administration.

He prayed  God Almighty to grant him the wisdom to discharge his duties diligently in the best interest of the nation.
