Nigerian Footballer Brings Soccer Greats Together

One of South Africa’s premier house/kwaito club and radio DJs and producers, DJ Oskido’s Kalawa Jazzmee Records has released a new song in partnership with the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) aimed at promoting unity and integration in South Africa. The afropop/dance song, entitled ‘My brother’s keeper’ is written and performed by Zonke Dikana and Stoan Seete, courtesy of Kalawa Jazzmee Records.  It calls on members of the public to take responsibility and protect each other against human rights abuses

Nwankwo Christian Nwosu Kanu, one of Nigerian’s soccer greats, has bid farewell to the global leather game on a high note.

In a testimonial game in honour of the former Super Eagles skipper, soccer stars from the past generation to the current, were present at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos, last Saturday to show solidarity with the 96 Olympic gold medalist.

Ghana’s Sulley Muntari and Michael Essien, together with Samuel Eto’o, Emmanuel Adebayor, Kalusha Bwalya, George Weah, Daniel ‘Bull’ Amokachi, Patrick Kluivert, the De Boer brothers- Frank and Roland-, Frank Rijkaard and other football icons featured in the testimonial match.
