Luanda — The Angolan airline company (TAAG) is due to receive on Tuesday in Everett, U.S. from aircraft manufacturer a new Boeing 777-300 ER.
According to a source within the Angolan company in Seattle, the aeroplane, the first of two ordered by the carrier in April 2010, has a capacity for 368 passengers in three classes (first, business and economics).
With the registration D2-TEG, the aircraft painted and personalized with the symbol of TAAG, the Palanca Negra, will be out of Seattle at 10am on Thursday, 6pm in Angola, in a non-stop flight which will last nearly 16 hours.
The 777, also known as “Triple Seven”, is a long-range aircraft, designed and manufactured by the U.S company. It is the largest bi-plane jet in the world with the most powerful engine ever produced. It can carry between 283 and 368 passengers in three class configuration, up to 17,000 km, linking the main cities in a non-stop trip.
