Norwich City have announced the signing of midfielder Elliott Bennett on a three-year deal from Championship side Brighton for an undisclosed fee.

The 22-year-old impressed last season helping Brighton to the League One title and automatic promotion but has now joined the Canaries.

Norwich have been busy securing new talent to aid their battle to avoid relegation back to the Championship next season, having spent heavily on forwards James Vaughan and Steve Morison.

Bennett made 100 appearances in all competitions for the Seagulls and bagged 17 goals for the club after joining them in August 2009 from Wolves where he started his career.

The Canaries continue to be linked with players with young Tottenham defender Steven Caulker reported to be a loan target.
