Norwegian giants, Stabeak, has joined the race for Gambian striker Amadou Jawo who is unhappy for his lack of playing time at Elfsborg.

A host of Swedish clubs have confirmed their interest in the forward with Kebba Ceesay’s Djurgardens closely monitoring the situation. The bottom rocked club strikers are misfiring and Jawo is touted a potential saviour.

But now the 26-year-old is attracting interest from across Scandinavia, Dif stand a risk of losing out on the attacker, The Norwegian giants are keen on spending cash to consolidate their striking force.

Jawo’s agent has confirmed that there is a lot of bidding from both Danish and Swedish clubs on his client, and Norwegian giants Stabaek have also joined the race.

“There are several clubs that have come to show interest quite recently” said Jonas Svensson.

Jawo was Elfsborg’s most expensive acquisition of the season in 2009. Elfsborg coach recently said, “Jawo will only move on loan. The club is looking to get started with the Europa League and the club wishes to have all its strikers at hand”.
