Wigan forward Hugo Rodallega has admitted he would be open to a move away from the DW Stadium but only if a top club came in for him.
“I know nothing, only what the media says, there have been offers from Spain, others from Italy and some of England, but my agent has not had a concrete approach with any team in Europe,” he told Columbian based newspaper El Pais
“I’m happy at Wigan because in the two-and-a-half years they have treated me well, I’ve earned a place and I am already one of the major players in the team.
“It makes me feel at home, but if the opportunity arises to go to another larger team, who give me the chance to fight for a title, I could and would accept it gladly.”
Roberto Martinez, who committed to his future to the club earlier this week, will be aiming to keep hold of the Columbian who has impressed since moving to the Premier League in 2009.
The 25-year-old still has one year remaining on his contract but says he is willing to listen to offers. Martinez has also got his work cut out to keep hold Rodallega’s teammate Charles N’Zogbia, who has attracted interest from fellow Premier League clubs in recent weeks.
Spanish outfit Sevilla are said to be keen admirers of the striker, who scored nine goals last season to help the Latics retain their Premier League status.
“Formally we have not presented an offer to Wigan for the Colombian Hugo Rodallega, we have certainly followed him like with many other footballers,” a source close to Sevilla told ABC.
