Ghana Music Summer Jam is an event been organized by Jutaco Music Production USA and TV Content Entertainment Ltd Ghana to encourage Ghanaians abroad especially USA to espouse Ghanaian Culture. This is the 2nd (second) year of the event and the enthusiasm generated by the first, demands we invite musicians and other performers from Ghana to entertain the youth.
The musicians together with their bands will set alight New York on the 11th June-14th June, 2011 at COCOA HOUSE. The musicians include popular artistes like Bradez who hit limelight in 2008 with “One Gallon”, their sophomore album; “Breakthru” was the trick. With hit songs “simple” and “Dondo”, the blood brothers duo was heavy on radio and party airplay rotation between 2009 and 2010. Stone da Flowking and Kunta Kinte said, “We are preparing to conquer the world now. Our coming album is about that. So this concert is the step towards that end. Trust me, when I say, you don’t know what to expect.”
Other popular artistes include hip life guru Obour who needs no introduction in the music industry. Also on the bill is the newest sensational afro pop kid Anas and gospel musicians like Annointed Singers who are known for their silky voices will also grace the occasion with their inspirational and touching songs.
When the organizers of the show were contacted to comment on the show, they said last year event was one of the best Ghanaian events last year and hope to better it this year. They said the event is also aimed at educating all and sundry and entreat participation by all, both Ghanaians and Americans alike.
