Fulham defender John Paintsil admits he is uncertain of his future, but says he will be leaving Craven Cottage this summer.

The Ghanaian right-back had fallen down the pecking order under Mark Hughes, but despite the Welshman’s exit and the arrival of Martin Jol, he will now leave the club as a free agent.

Paintsil told skysports.com: “I am a free agent, I have some contacts and will see what I will do in the future.

“I know I will be playing my football next season at a good club.

“I am 29 years old so let’s see.”

Reports from Africa have suggested that Paintsil is a target for Championship side Leicester City as they look to strengthen their squad for another promotion push next season.
