The aftermath of this year’s June 4 annual ranting by Ex-President Rawlings has, for the first time since the nonsense began, seen both the NPP and NDC simultaneously spiking the former pilot’s allegations as nothing but hot air and balderdash. The bipartisan attack of an albatross hanging around the neck of the nation, which is Rawlings, is symptomatic of a population by and large fatigued over the rehashed allegations of corruption the former Military junta leader has leveled against everybody in Ghana, save his wife and children over the past three decades. If after all the bloodletting he caused to uproot the so-called corruption afflicting the country, the canker still persists outside his Ridge residence, it is a subtle admission that he has failed

Out-of-favour Tottenham striker Robbie Keane could be on his way to Fulham, according to The Sun.

The new Cottagers manager Martin Jol is reportedly keen to link up again with the 30-year-old, having enjoyed some success together during Jol’s time at Spurs.

Keane has endured a frustrating spell over the last few years, ever since his ill-fated move to Liverpool in the summer of 2008. After returning to White Hart Lane six months later, he fell down the pecking order and made loan moves to both Celtic and West Ham to try to revive his career.

And if reports are to be believed then he may finally get that opportunity at Craven Cottage, with Jol looking to build on the foundations laid by outgoing gaffer Mark Hughes.

It is rumoured that Spurs would accept a cut-price £4 million deal to take Keane off their hands, but the bigger problem may be the striker’s wages, which are in excess of £70,000 per week.

Despite his woes at club level, Keane remains a force on the international stage, becoming the first Republic of Ireland player to score more than 50 goals for his country with a brace against Macedonia in a Euro 2012 qualifier.

Currently Giovanni Trapattoni’s captain, Keane has moved up to twelfth in the all-time international goalscoring charts, level with Turkey’s Hakan Sukur and France’s Thierry Henry.
