David Silva has pledged his future to Manchester City to ease Citizens fans woes following Carlos Tevez‘s comments stating that he wanted to leave the club.

The Spaniard is confident that Roberto Mancini’s can progress more than last season where they secured Champions League football for the first time and won their first trophy in 35 years by lifting the FA Cup.

The midfielder told the Manchester Evening News: “I am very happy in Manchester. This year we won a title, we go through to the Champions League and, sure, next year will be better.”

This news will ease the worries of City fans following an interview performed by club captain Tevez on Argentinean TV stating he was not enjoying life in Manchester.

This has increased speculation that the striker will leave the club over the summer despite the claims of boss Roberto Mancini affirming his belief the striker will not be going anywhere.

The Argentine has been linked with a move to Serie A with clubs such as Juventus and Inter Milan mentioned as potential suitors for the striker’s signature.

Tevez and Silva were essential to City’s push for the Champions League last season racking 30 goals between them to help their side into third place and also led to the Argentine sharing the Premier League Golden Boot with Dimitar Berbatov.
