Atletico Madrid goalkeeper David de Gea has reiterated that he will talk about his future after the end of the Under-21 European Championships and hints that he may not be the man Sir Alex Ferguson is looking for at Manchester United.
The 20-year-old Spaniard is said to be on the move to the English champions with Sir Alex himself hinting that a deal is in place, although De Gea admits he “doesn’t know anything” regarding his future.
“Until the Euros are finished and things calm down a bit, I don’t know anything,” he said, according to ESPNSoccernet. “I don’t know what goalkeepers Alex Ferguson likes. I’m just a normal goalkeeper, a discrete one.
“Being Atletico’s goalkeeper is completely different to being United’s and I’m not quite sure what he’s looking for.”
