I refer to the above captioned publications in the Monday the 9th of May 2011 and Tuesday the 10th of May 2011 editions of the Ghanaian Times, occupying no less a place than the front pages and humbly pray for an unedited publication of the underneath rejoinder to set the records straight and put an end to any unnecessary sensationalism on this matter.
The said 25 years mother of a baby Marian Asamoah was first and foremost never ever a house help in my residence. Marian was brought to me about 5 years ago by her biological mother to be, exorcised of an unknown spirit which frequently attacked her.
She had momentary reliefs anytime she came with the mother to me and this made the mother plead unending for Marian to stay under my abode. After my initial refusal the mother channeled her request through some elders of Glorious Word Power Ministry International of which I am the General Overseer and I was compelled in the circumstance to accede to their request. I therefore added Marian to two other female siblings who were staying under my roof and she shared a common room with them.
Along the line Marian came to me to confess that she has been impregnated by Felice Garr whose name has been mistakenly captured by the media as Felix Garoo who used to be one of the junior pastors of my church. I did not hesitate to tell Marian that her conduct was against the teachings of the church and as such will create an embarrassment for me if she continued to stay under my roof with the pregnancy and therefore asked her to bring the mother so that she would formally pack out.
The poor aged mother of Marian could not help but control her tears and wailing throughout her meeting with me and much more importantly disclosed to me that Marian contemplates aborting the baby if she’s sacked from my residence. Matters got out of hand when my own parents were consulted by Marian. Therefore I together with my pastors and elders resolved to allow Marian to stay under my roof until she was delivered of the baby. After a meeting with Felice Garr, the senior pastors of the church resolved to openly demote him as a pastor in the Church.
Interestingly the senior pastors received 2 separate reports from two other ladies outside the church that they have also been impregnated by the same Felice Garr. The leadership of the church confronted Felice Garr with these other reports and he admitted same amidst tears. Therefore the leadership of the Church suspended him from the Church.
This was the context within which Marian was delivered of a baby boy and Felice Garr quickly organized his family members to come and name the child in accordance with Ewe custom. Strangely enough news got to the church of a customary marriage between Felice Garr and another lady. I therefore raised an objection to this intended marriage and upon counsel from the entire pastors and elders of the church indefinitely dismissed Felice Garr from Glorious Word Power Ministry International.
For her entire stay with me including her pregnancy to delivery to voluntary vacation from my residence, I never ever had any amorous relationship with Marian Asamoah neither did she disclose to anybody that I was the father of her baby nor claimed paternity of Marian Asamoah’s baby. Therefore your publications that I together with Felice Garr are contesting for ownership of the child is baseless and flawed. Again the confession by Marian Asamoah that she was lured by Felice Garr together with another dismissed Deputy General Overseer of the church to concoct the story to defame me in revenge for my open dismissal of the two of them from the church negates the allegation of Chief Inspector Oppong of DOVVSU that I lured Marian Asamoah into having sexual intercourse with me which resulted in pregnancy.
It is again a stinking contradiction that Marian Asamoah who was allowed to stay under my roof for fear of aborting the baby was asked by me to abort the pregnancy but she refused for which reason I declined to accept the pregnancy and failed to take care of her until she delivered the baby. The least said about my insistence of Marian having HIV test before having sex with her the better. It is a story better told to the marines because it cannot even wash with children. It is a frame up which has been simply exposed by Marian’s confession.
The story of me inviting Marian for a massage resulting in sex with her and later expelling her from her supposed employment after informing me that she had a relationship with pastor Garr is a complete fallacy and untruth because Marian was not in my employment in the first place and the issue of her pregnancy was discussed by the entire leadership of the church and not in solitude with me. To say the least these are sheer contradictions galore calculated to tarnish my hard won reputation as a man of God but it simply did not work.
To date the DOVVSU has not been able to rebut the contention of my lawyers that it has no power in Ghana to order a paternity test and that only a court of competent jurisdiction can do so based on certain conditions precedent. Therefore the attempt by Felice Garr to twist his alleged sex scandal against me to a reported threat of death becomes ridiculous particularly when he’s on record at the DOVVSU to have said “1 did so by voice mail from my mobile phone” whereas I do not even know how to use the voice mail on the cell phone.
Yet the police investigator failed to take custody of the mobile phone which allegedly contained this evidence. It was upon my lawyers insistence that in the absence of the mobile phone evidence, there was no prima facie case against me that Garr was asked by the police to bring the cell phone and play back same. Even so nothing was heard from the phone and the weakness of the DOVVSU in criminal investigations was exposed when they asked Garr to take back the phone home and amplify what he alleged was contained on the phone. On the return date, hard as Garr tried to play back the voice mail nothing again could be heard.
For your records I was not the one who named the baby in issue and both allegations of sexual scandal and threat of death against me lack proof otherwise the police at DOVVSU would not have asked me to go and return no more until invited by them. Meanwhile the confession statement of Marian Asamoah on Adom FM that she was bribed by those two dismissed pastors of my Church to defame me completely exonerates me from any wrong doing in this matter. Needless to mention the letter signed by Marian Asamoah and served on DOVVSU for a withdrawal of the matter as same is untrue.
Finally the DOVVSU is urged to give prominence to the delegation of chiefs and elders from the James Town palace to DOVVSU who came to plead on behalf of Marian Asamaoh for a withdrawal of the matter from the police.
In addition to the dispatch of this same delegation to my residence for an unqualified apology from Marian Asamoah for her despicable attempt to scandalize me. It makes interesting reading to every Ghanaian that the Ghana Police who could track and effect the arrest of a criminal on the Ghana Burkina Faso border cannot trace the where about of Marian Asamoah, a complainant who provided her telephone number and residential address to the police.
As for those who condemned me outright upon reading and hearing the story and went to the extent of depicting me as a known criminal because of a car case I had with the police sometime back, I humbly wish to use this opportunity to notify them that I was actually acquitted and discharged in that matter with a consequential order made by the Court for the return of my vehicles to me
Fellow country men and women, I have so much confidence in our judiciary in unraveling the truth that I do not shake a bit given them the opportunity to try these matters. I stand to be acquitted and discharged once more.
