DR Congo — The Angolan embassy to the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) controls currently 14,000 Angolan citizens, said Tuesday the head of the local consulate services, Caldeiras Balao.
Speaking to the Angolan journalists, the diplomat stated that since the registration of 3,900 citizens in 1979, 23,000 of whom have applied for safe conduct to the Angolan consulate in Kinshasa for their return to the country.
This means that only 14,000 citizens are under control by the Angolan embassy to the Democratic Republic of Congo.
On the other hand, the source underlined that the consulate records high turn out of people applying for safe conduct to return home.
During the process, the officials stressed, the institution detected fake document of the alleged Angolans citizens who also want to return to Angola.
