A 25-member squad of DR Congo’s DC Motema Pembe is expected in the country on Friday for Sunday’s Africa Confederation Cup match against Simba at the National Stadium.

Simba Sports Club vice chairman Geofrey “Kaburu” Nyange said yesterday that the Congolese team will jet in aboard Kenya Airways flight.”Football authorities in DR Congo have informed us that Motema Pembe, our opponents in Sunday’s first leg match of Africa Confederation Cup, will arrive in the country on Friday evening,” Kaburu said.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed Nigerian referees to handle the match.

Kaburu said the Nigerian referees will also jet in on Friday alongside the match commissar from Sudan.

“Preparations for the match are in top gear. Our team returned to Dar es Salaam early this week from Tanga where they played a series of friendlies ahead of Sunday’s clash,” he said.

“Currently, our team is camping in Dar es Salaam,” said Kaburu, adding that his players were in high spirits, looking forward to turning tables on Motema Pembe on Sunday.Simba, whose hopes to make it into the group stage of Africa Champions League went up in smoke recently after tumbling to Morocco’s Waydad Casablanca, say they will not afford another dismal show this time around.

Meanwhile, the highest entrance fee for Sunday’s Confederation Cup between Simba and Motema Pembe is Sh20,000, according to Nyange. The amount is for the VIP A seats, while those wishing to watch the match from VIP B and C will have to part with Sh10,000 each.

The lowest entrance fee for the match is sh5,000, which is for the green and blue seats.

Those wishing to watch the match from the orange straight and curve areas will have to pay Sh8,000 each.
