Zoltan Gera could be on his way back to West Bromwich Albion after the midfielder admitted he still loves the club that gave him his first chance in England.

The 32-year-old has left Fulham on a free transfer after seeing out his contract but still remains tight-lipped on where his future lies.

However, the Baggies are thought to be leading the chase for the Hungarian international, who admits he still has a strong tie to his old side.

“I don’t want to talk about my future as yet as there is a lot to sort out,” Gera told Sky Sports.

“There is nothing more I can say about that at the moment. But it is correct to say I enjoyed my time at West Brom – they gave me my chance in English football.

“I still love the club and, the two times I’ve gone back with Fulham, I had a wonderful reception from the fans. You don’t forget things like that.”

The left-sided player previously spent four years at West Brom making 139 appearences for the club and scoring 21 goals.
