Luanda — The Speaker of Mozambique’s Assembly of the Republic, VerÃ’nica Macamo, on Friday here manifested her delight at the exhibition of historical artefacts, held in the National Anthropology Museum, in Luanda, having stressed that the art pieces represented a summary of the evolution of Angolan and African culture.

The official said so to the press, at the end of the visit she paid to the mentioned museum, adding that she found in that institution “several things that have something to do with the culture of Mozambique (…)”.

She also underlined that the exhibited artefacts deny the western theories that Africans are backward people.

In the venue, VerÃ’nica Macamo was received by the Culture minister, Rosa Cruz e Silva and by the director of the museum, Américo Kunonoca, who explained to the visitor the meaning and utility of the various pieces on display.

VerÃ’nica Macamo is paying a five-day official visit to Angola, at the invitation of her counterpart, AntÃ’nio Paulo Kassoma, aiming at reinforcing the co-operation between the parliaments of the two nations.
