Kano State Governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso, has expressed dismay over the level of dilapidation at the Murtala Muhammad Specialists Hospital, Kano, saying the situation of the patients deserves government’s attention.
Speaking when he paid an unscheduled visit to the hospital on Saturday night, Kwankwaso assured of improvement in the hospital soon.
A statement by the media assistant to Kwankwaso, Mallam Jaafar Jaafar said, the governor was taken round the wards in the hospital by the Chief Medical Director, Dr. Tanko Sani.
The governor tasked the management of the hospital to ensure that there would be blackout in the hospital again.
“You must lay emphasis on maintenance and provision of stable electricity in this hospital. I will keep paying unscheduled visits to all the hospitals to see the condition of patients,” he said.
He said that quality healthcare delivery was one of the priority areas for his administration.
