Fulham midfielder Clint Dempsey has admitted he would leave Craven Cottage for a Champions League team this summer if the opportunity arose.
The United States International could follow departing manager Mark Hughes and leave London if a big club makes an acceptable offer during the transfer window.
The 28-year-old told reporters: “Right now, I’m thinking about Europe and playing in the Champions League.
“That’s a goal for me – everyone wants to play at the highest level.”
Dempsey joined from New England Revolution four-and-a-half years ago and missed just one Premier League game last season.
Fulham will participate in the Uefa Europa League next season but that could be without the US midfield ace, who has reportedly attracted interest from the likes of AC Milan.
