Asmara — Eritrean nationals residing in Dubai and North Emirate celebrated the 20th anniversary of Independence Day with enthusiasm in the presence of diplomats, foreign friends of Eritrea and other guests.

Speaking at the colorful celebrations, the Eritrean Consul General in Dubai and North Emirate, Mr. Yohannes Teklemichael, explained that the celebration of the great Day with patriotic zeal amply demonstrates the Eritrean people’s strong sense of patriotism.

Noting that the secrete behind the success of the Eritrean people lies in their firm national unity and noble social values, he called on nationals in different parts of the world to enhance contribution to the integrated national rebuff and development drive.

The Chairman of the Eritrean Community in Dubai and North Emirate, Mr. Kemal Mohammed Berhan, on his part asserted the readiness of the members to step up participation for the national cause.

Meanwhile, soccer match was conducted between 4 Eritrean teams and residents of Dubai and North Emirate in connection with the celebrations, during which the winner won trophy.
