Bolton‘s Ivan Klasnic believes he is ready to put distractions behind him and concentrate solely on his football next year at the Reebok Stadium.
The Croatian foward endured a tough campaign last season after being accused of sexual assault and admits that it did put a strain on him despite knowing that he was innocent.
“I tried not to think too much about everything, but I was calm as I always knew that I’m innocent,” he told 24sata.
“The hardest thing was that I had to say I’m sorry for everything but I wasn’t even guilty! Luckily my family was by my side. They believed me, but I had to explain to them why me, why is this happening.
The 31-year-old insists that he now wants to concentrate solely on next season after scoring just 4 goals this season for the Trotters.
“I don’t know what will happen in next season,” he said, “But because of everything that happened to me, so many bad things, I just want to enjoy it.”
