3 June 2011 Lubango — Fourteen runners with Interclube that are attending a training period in Southern Huila Province, intend to win the 12th edition of Angola Cup in Athletics, on June 18-19, in Luanda, as well as to improve their records, Angop has learnt. The intention was expressed on Friday by the team's coach, Augusto Diogo Sako, who added that this aspect has been shown during the training period. The preparation has been taking place in Palanca Commune, Municipality of Humpata, and focus on resistance and speedy, in two to five series.

Luanda — Angola’s Home Affairs Minister, Sebastião Martins, on Friday here defended the need for a correct rationalisation of personnel of the fire-brigade and civil protection sector to meet the operational demand, Angop has learnt.

The government official said so while speaking at the final of the visits to the premises of both sectors, meant to check the level of operation.

The minister said that it is a constant the lack of human resources in the sector, adding that despite this factor, there is rational profiting. “There are many agents with the special regime of career in fire sector, but that are working in administrative areas”, he said.

“We guided that be immediately corrected this situation, replacing the agents of the operational areas, both at the level of civil protection and fire-brigade”, he added.

Commenting of the technical means, the official said there is a need of increasing it.
