3 June 2011 Benguela — Clube Nacional de Benguela counts as from Thursday with a residential zone to accommodate athletes from other provinces and abroad, Angop has learnt. Worth USD 100,000, the undertaking was already presented to members and supporters and comprises among others five residences, a gymnasium, as well as a leisure area. The Club's chairman, José Granada, told the press that the residential zone is designed only for professional athletes that will play in the second division, meant to qualify the team to the greatest category of football, from which Nacional de Benguela has been absent for 16 years

Kuito — The candidate for presidency of Angolan Federation of Football (FAF) Pedro Neto has stressed the need of the Angolan National squad to beat Kenya at Sunday match, with a view to keep qualification hope for the African Cup of Nations (CAN) 2012, scheduled to take place simultaneously in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.

Pedro Neto expressed his conviction last Thursday in Kuito, central Bié province while speaking on the sidelines of presentation of his project in the region.

FAF candidate appealed to the population to become united and support the national team “Palancas Negras” in materialisation of its goals.

The match of fourth round of group J for qualification of CAN2012 is scheduled at 04pm in Luanda’s 11 de Novembro Stadium.
