Right 2011 ills before talking of 2015, Adanse tells Jega

WARRI — LABOUR Party candidate for Warri North Constituency for the Delta State House of Assembly, Mr  Adanse  Felix, weekend, called on chairman of the Independent National  Electoral Commission, INEC,  Prof.   Attahiru Jega, to right the wrongs of the 2011 general elections before talking of 2015 elections.

Felix urged Jega to probe and prosecute those alleged to have rigged the Assembly  poll in the council, saying that  “in Warri North, election was conducted and concluded in the  mid-night of April 25, 2011 at remote creeks and communities outside the designated units and wards.

Felix in a statement,  faulted Jega’s comments, saying “I  fault his plan to prepare for 2015 polls whereas the  polls he called credible in Warri North, is actually the  worst election ever conducted in the  history of Nigeria.”

Not until the perpetrators of the evil are brought to book and the evil corrected, prof. Jega cannot talk of preparing for  2015 polls. Because the negative effects of the  said polls are having accumulating side effects on the  good people of Warri North. The people were not allowed to freely elect and choose their leaders as enshrined in the electoral Act.

INEC connived with PDP in Delta state to steal my mandate the  good people of Warri North gave to  me. Whereas elections held on the  26th in all other Local Government Areas in the state, this  was not true for  Warri North.

In Warri North, election was conducted and concluded on the  mid-night of 25th April 2011 at remote creeks and communities outside the designated units and wards. Prof. Jega and the entire INEC, especially the Delta state branch of INEC should come out clean by arresting and prosecuting those who deny the  people of Warri North from exercising their civic rights.

It is then and only then, INEC can talk of preparing for  2015 polls. INEC should conduct a fresh poll in Warri North constituency to restore my stolen mandate and to restore the  people’s confidence. The people of Warri North are angry.”
