MP Calls for the Completion of Draft Constitution

Mogadishu — A members of the transitional parliament on Saturday called for the draft constitution of Somalia republic to be completed soon.

Abdurrahman Hashi Hassan, one of Somali parliamentarians, said parliament’s committee of constitution is needed to act quickly as the mandate of Somalia’s TFG is due to expire on August 20.

While speaking to Shabelle radio station, the lawmaker noted that the constitution is good for Somalia and Somali people.

He urged parliament’s committee of constitution to make the constitution in accordance with Islamic religion.
