Guus Hiddink hasn’t ruled out returning to Chelsea after he refused to confirm his future was still with Turkey‘s national side.

The Dutchman had a successful spell in charge at Stamford Bridge two years ago where he won the FA Cup and is now considered favourite to replace Carlo Ancelotti who was sacked after the final game on last season.

Chelsea and England captain John Terry revealed on Friday that he would welcome Hiddink back to the club and that all members of the squad would love him to return.

Hiddink admits he was happy to hear that Terry would like to see him back at Stamford Bridge.

He said: “That, I understand. I had a beautiful time there.”

After Friday’s 1-1 draw against Belgium, Hiddink was questioned about returning to Chelsea but was careful about what he said.

“I always like to be very clear. I can formally say I have a contract until 2012.”

The 64-year-old could leave Turkey at anytime due to an opt-out clause in his contract which would allow him to join Chelsea whenever he wants.

“When there are issues we can always talk. That’s a very short answer, a clear answer,” continued Hiddink.

Asked if he had been in touch with Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich, Hiddink added: “I’m on holiday now”.
