Blackburn Rovers are interested in signing Sebastian Larsson, according to the player’s agent.

The midfielder is now a free agent after his contract expired at relegated Birmingham City.

The 25-year-old’s representative, Per Jonsson, is adamant his client wishes to stay in the Premier League.

“He wants to stay in England. He loves it there,” Jonsson told Fotbollskanalen.

“There are three or four clubs in England that are very interested.”

Blackburn have built a link with Jonsson’s agency Kentaro, but refuted claims that will decide the Swede’s destination this summer.

“Blackburn is one of them, absolutely. That’s logical considering Kentaro, but Kentaro aside, the most important thing is that it feels right.”

“There aren’t that many other clubs to choose from when I say that there is a top club from there (Turkey) that is interested in Larsson,” added his agent.

“I have told Sebastian to focus on the national team now and we will sort things out with a new club after that.”
