3 June 2011 Al-Ittihad power playing striker, Azuka Izu has been included in the Dream team V squad that would square up to the Young Taifa stars of Tanzania in Dares-Salam in the first leg second round Olympic games qualifier on Sunday. Azuka a former Sharks of Port Harcourt star striker made his first appearance for the Dream Team V, in the friendly game against Gombe United during the opening of the Patanmi Stadium Gombe.

The national women’s team, Super Falcons will this evening take on their counterparts from the Czech Republic in a potentially explosive international friendly match in Saalfelden.

Coach Eucharia Uche-led Falcons are camping in the Austrian border town ahead of the FIFA Women’s World Cup starting in Germany on June 26.

On Sunday, the six-time African champions romped to a 7-0 victory over Wacker Innsbruck, a first division team in Austria. Midfielder Francisca Ordega and striker Esther Sunday hit a brace each, with Desire Oparanozie, Blessing Edoho and Amenze Aighewi also on the scoresheet.

The Falcons are to play at least two more friendly games before leaving Saalfelden on June 22 for the FIFA Women’s World Cup finals.
