Huambo — Social actors that work with children must work in concert when it comes to programmes relating children, with priority to community development, mainly in rural areas.
This appeal came from the vice governor of Huambo Province for political and social matters, Lotty Nolika, on the fringe of the ceremony of commemoration of June 01, International Children’s Day.
She appealed equally to public and private institutions to promote solidarity actions with the objective of improving children’s welfare.
To Lotti Nolika, June 01 should also be used for reflecting on the problems faced by children, and not just a day for handing out presents to them.
The commemorative ceremony was attended by over 1,000 children from shelter homes and orphanages of this province.
