Luena — The musicians Papetchulo and Big Nelo Last Sunday in Luena City, eastern Moxico Province, advised the lovers of Angolan music to explore local albums thoroughly.
Speaking to the press, at the end of a charity show promoted by the firm “Viva Cidade Produções”, the singer António Domingos da Costa “Papetchulo” argued that the public should not just stick to the songs played by the radios and televisions, because the other songs that are less publicised in an album might be better.
In his opinion, the message an artist wants to pass is in the whole album.
The musician Manuel de Carvalho “Big Nelo” also agreed with his colleague, adding that the Angolan music has now reached a good level, reason why the fan has to know his artists’ albums in full.
The two artists spoke to the press on the fringes of a public show in which they performed, in Luena City.
