Adobha — The head of the Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare branch in Northern Red Sea region, Mr. Kidane Yohannes, called on the general public, especially employees of community-based rehabilitation program to help disabled nationals become productive.

At a meeting with employees of the program in the sub-zones of Adobha, Nacfa and Karora, he noted that the Government’s endeavors over the past 20 years to enable disabled nationals become self-supporting brought about visible outcome in their living standards.

The employees said on their part that the negative perception of the society towards the disabled persons has completely changed, and that the Disabled are being relieved of isolation. In this respect, they stressed the need for opening schools for the Blind and the Deaf in the Northern Red Sea region.
