1 June 2011 Khartoum — The South Sudan army says it rejects a proposal by North Sudan's government to install a rotating administration in the disputed region of Abyei until a self-determination referendum can be held. Phillip Aguer, the spokesperson of the southern army (SPLA) described the new proposal as a "one-sided" solution to the conflict in the disputed oil-producing region. Luanda — The Angolan national players Carlos, Flávio Amado and Marco Airosa expressed on Monday in Luanda their willingness of defeating Kenya, so as to open chances to be qualified for the African Cup of Nations (CAN2012) to be co-hosted by Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.

The national goal-keeper Carlos, said that the team is more united and focused on the work.

The striker Flávio Amado said that the national players should together in order to defeat the opponent.

The defender Marco Airosa recognised that Angola is a very complicated situation and he highlighted the players are only focused on the work in order to beat Kenya and thus open chances for the country to qualify for the competition.
