Demba Savage and Sanna Nyassi have been called to the Scorpions side that will take on Gabon early June in Libreville.

Gambia will be facing the Black Panthers of Gabon- joint Nations Cup host on June 7th on a friendly Gambia brace up ahead of their remaining group qualifier games.

Colorado Rapid’s Sanna Nyassi is named for the Gabon tie after he missed the Equatorial Guinea match in Malabo due to miscommunication on travel documents. The 22-year-old will be joining the national team along with other invited foreign-based on May 31st.

Nyassi made his first international debut in a friendly against Angola on January 3, 2010, and has earned three total caps in Paul Put’s troop. Sanna has appeared in eight of the first 11 matches for Colorado this season, making two starts and six appearances as a substitute.

As a result of national commitment, he will not be available for the Rapids home match against Philadelphia on June 4 and could potentially miss the game in Portland against the Timbers on June 11.

Finland-based Demba Savage, Portland’s Futty Danso and defender Mohammed Mbye according our source, are also named among the invited players – a full list of which the Gambia Football Association is yet to disclose to the press. The test looks to hold after two failed initial attempts.

First, the Gabonese soccer federation wrote the Gambia for a test in 2009 in France- a game that was decimated in the eleven hour owing to bad weather before another propose game was called off sometime four months ago.

Gambia will be conducting a week-long camping before heading to Gabon. Gabon on the other, had confirmed their player list for the game.
