Luanda — The mass media can and should continue contributing to strengthening the friendship and cooperation relation between Angola and Guinea Bissau, since the more information you have about each other, better people know each other, said Saturday, in Bissau, Carlos Albino, director of the Centre for Journalists Training (Cefojor).
The director of Cefojor, who was speaking at the conclusion of a training sponsored by the Angolan Ministry of Mass Media (MCS) of 90 Guinean journalists, added that if the flow of information is higher, the better people understand themselves and respect themselves.
“With these training actions, the Angolan and Guinean journalists can better help our countries to face the future with confidence,” said the official, who thanked, on behalf of the Angolan minister of Mass Media, Carolina Cerqueira, the warm hospitality of people of Guinea Bissau.
Carlos Albino, who was also one of the training monitors, reaffirmed at the time the will of the Angolan government to further implement the partnership with this brother country in the media field, with emphasis on training and upgrading of the professionals and technical and technological support.
“We never felt so proud in our lives, especially when challenged to contribute to solving the problems affecting the Guinean journalist class in order to meet the challenges of reconciliation and political stability as well as the socio-economic and cultural demands”, he said.
