Luq — The administration of Somalia’s moderate group of Ahlu Sunna Waljama ASWJ on Sunday unchained businessmen days after they were in their custody for days.
The traders were apprehended after search operations in the town of Luq in Gedo region in southern Somalia.
Reports say that the number of the arrested people was 15 as Ahlu Sunna officials said they the jailed ones have been released because they have been acquitted all charges against them.
Mohammed Hussein, the spokesman of Ahlu Sunna in Gedo region told Shabelle that the operations were aimed at assuring the peace and security in the town.
